Study in Southern Europe

Study at our bootcamp in Barcelona, an international oasis along the Mediterranean

We’ve thought long and hard about it and concluded there are exactly three things that set Barcelona apart as a place to study.

Our Campus

We’re based in Barcelona’s first penthouse coworking space in the Sagrada Familia neighborhood—a perfect backdrop to our courses.

Here you’ll find Barcelona’s most iconic landmark just a few steps away. This part of Barcelona lives and breathes creativity, and you can quickly get around due to its central location and public transportation links.

As a student, you’ll have access to regular networking events, free weekly yoga classes, open seating, and an outdoor terrace which hosts events like talks, networking sessions, launches, concerts and company parties.

The Quality of Life

We’d bet Bitcoin on the likelihood of your quality of life improving as soon as you move here. The city is made up of various neighbourhoods, each with its own personality that comes to life during fiestas throughout a year that’s always loaded with local cultural events.

Whether you’re interested in art, music, food, architecture, watersports, skiing (just 2 hours away—seriously) or just lounging in the sun in your free time, Barcelona is the place to enjoy any one or all six of these things.

The City

Barcelona, now a fully-fledged tech hub, is the new favourite destination for both people and companies with its combination of growing tech opportunities and a quality of life that’s unrivalled anywhere in the world.

It’s still one of the most affordable places to live in Europe, with rental prices around 40% cheaper than London and Paris and transport costs some of the lowest in Europe, a monthly ticket costing just €54 ($60) a month.

Some of Europe’s biggest tech events take place here, from the Mobile World Conference, EU Startups Summit and 4YFN to monthly events with Startup Grind and dozens of weekly events geared towards engineers, founders, investors and digital experts. Every day provides new and varied opportunities to make connections.

Our Campus

We’re based in Barcelona’s technological and innovation district—a city within a city, designed to foster synergies—a perfect backdrop to our courses.

Here you’ll find a concentration of universities, research and training centers, startups and cutting-edge technology companies all close to each other, with the beach just 20 min walk away from our campus at Spaces 22@.

As a student, you’ll have access to regular networking events, free weekly yoga classes, open seating, and an outdoor terrace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are accommodations provided?

CodeOp does not provide housing, but our students are eligible to receive low-cost accommodations through our partner BlueStripe. We also recommend using the Badi app, which makes it very easy to find a good room and compatible roommates.

Can I work while I am there?

We strongly discourage students enrolled in our full-time, intensive program from working while attending. For those who do wish to work while participating: Our 6-month, part-time Full Stack Development course was designed for you!

Is food provided?

CodeOp provides a daily breakfast of fruit, cereal, oatmeal, etc. We do not provide lunch, but with an hour-long break each day, you’ll have time to enjoy the many cafés in the neighborhood. Spaces 22@ also has a café for purchasing food and a refrigerator for storing it, should you wish to bring your own.
