Study at our bootcamp in Kuala Lumpur—the centre of SE Asia’s tech scene

Discover why we decided to set up our second bootcamp in one of the fastest-growing regions in the world. In partnership with:

CodeOp Malaysia Campus

The City and Campus

Kuala Lumpur is growing as a tech hub, and with strong support from the financial sector and the government, more and more companies are looking for developer talent.

The city is right at the center of South-East Asia’s tech scene and well-connected to the rest of the region. Studying here, you’ll be surrounded by a tech ecosystem that has great opportunities for networking and development. Some of South-East Asia’s biggest conferences are hosted in Kuala Lumpur, including Next Big Tech Asia and Malaysia Tech Week.

At our campus in Bangsar you’ll share a cool, community space with a view, surrounded by some of Kuala Lumpur’s newest startups. We’re located at The Loop, right above Bangsar LRT station, from where you’ll be able to see one of the best views of old (really charming) and new (really modern) Bangsar.

The Quality of Life

Kuala Lumpur consistently ranks in the top ten for quality of life in South-East Asia. Some of the best food you’ll ever taste happens to exist here, and there are new and different events happening all year round, both tech and cultural. The city itself is a great place to explore and is far from a concrete jungle. There’s an actual jungle within it, which you can see the edges of from almost anywhere in the city.

Inside of 20 minutes you can be out of the city and on a road trip, and in 45 you can be at the airport ready for a cheap Air Asia flight to any one of the amazing tropical islands close by. A monthly transport ticket in Kuala Lumpur might be more expensive than other places in South East Asia, but it’s still 593% cheaper than London.

Add to all this that the average temperature in Kuala Lumpur is 30+ degrees, giving you exactly 365 pool days per year—studying here definitely opens up an exciting lifestyle at affordable prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are accommodations provided?

CodeOp does not provide housing, but we’ve partnered with NowHere Boutique Suites to ensure that your stay in Kuala Lumpur is safe and stress-free. Airbnb is also a good option to look for affordable accommodation options.

Can I work while I am there?

We strongly discourage students enrolled in our full-time, intensive program from working while attending. For those who do wish to work while participating: Our 6-month, part-time Full Stack Development course was designed for you!

Is food provided?

CodeOp provides a daily breakfast of fruit, cereal, oatmeal, etc. We do not provide lunch, but with an hour-long break each day, you’ll have time to enjoy the many cafés in the neighborhood. Bangsar is a popular hangout for foodies and The Loop has several Mamak restaruants and convenience stores within walking distance.
